is the founder of The Austin Business Alliance.
After military service with Army CIC, he was for twenth-six years a partner in the consulting and business-brokering firm of Robert B. Anderson & Co., Ltd., of New York. During that period he served as team leader on many projects in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East related to business development. These ranged from hotel construction and offshore drilling in Taiwan to a proposal for a deep-water harbor on the island of Malta.
For two of those years, he worked on special assignments for the Hong-Kong entrepreneur E. W. C. (Eddie) Wong.
He also worked as a professional photographer (ASMP) for such diverse clients as The Wool Bureau and the Government of South Korea.
After returning to Austin, he founded LocalNet, Inc., an Internet company, and served as officer and director of USIS Health, Inc., a provider of unique online services in the health information field.
He holds a degree in Spanish and comparative literature from Williams College, and has done graduate work at Harvard University and SUNY/ Purchase (NY).
